At Transcendence Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to providing compassionate counseling services to individuals, couples, groups, and or families struggling with mental health issues or difficulties. Our goal is to empower our clients to achieve their personal and professional goals, and to improve their overall quality of life.
We share a vision of providing competent behavioral health services that are accessible to a variety of individuals within the state of Ohio. Along with counseling services, Transcendence has been involved in several consultative and supervisory roles with various community organizations, as well as providing trainings on a variety of topics throughout the state.
Our services are designed to fit the need of each individual, family, couple or organization we serve. In today's fast-paced society, many individuals find themselves at a point where they experience a difficult situation or feel as though they have lost a piece of themselves. We seek to help navigate those difficult times and to offer insight and skills on how to help people find what they are looking for to achieve the best version of themselves. There are a variety of issues or symptoms that people may seek counseling to address such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, substance abuse, low self-esteem, grief or adjusting to a major change. Kristina began her career working with female adolescents in residential treatment. This experience inspired her to enter the behavioral health field. She completed her Undergraduate Degree at the University of Rio Grande and has a Master's of Art in Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University in North Canton. Kristina has been working with children, teens, adults and couples in a variety of settings for over a decade in the Southern Ohio Region.
Kristina draws from a number of therapeutic approaches and interventions including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Much of her therapeutic work encompasses mindfulness interventions and practices and is designed to explore clarity and integration of mind, body and spirit.
In addition to counseling, Kristina enjoys providing clinical supervision, consultation and training. She regularly presents at local and state trainings and conferences on a variety of topics. Prior to relocating to Scioto County, Kristina served as an adjunct faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of Rio Grande. She also has completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Academy and enjoys practicing and sharing yoga.
Anna is a cause-oriented, loyal defender and advocate for those in need, striving to cultivate genuine relationships through sincere empathy. She has always been motivated to become a part of something greater than herself as an individual, which called her to enter the behavioral health field to be an impact and create positive change.
She completed her Psychology Undergraduate Degree and Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health and Clinical Rehabilitation from Ohio University. Anna has participated in psychology research and laboratory work, along with volunteering at adult mental health and psychiatric facilities. She also has clinical experience working with children/adolescents and teens at a substance use and mental health inpatient facility, and on Dayton Children's Hospital's Behavioral Health Crisis Unit.
Anna is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor for not only Transcendence, but also for an inpatient adult substance use and mental health facility - Mended Reeds.
Within her work, she has counseled and supported many individuals and client units with various difficulties such as, grief, loss, substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship/family conflicts, faith, career changes, and adjustment life changes, to name a few.
Anna utilizes from various therapeutic approaches and interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She aims to meet her client where they are at, while being a support and guide toward their needs and treatment goals.
